Riggs Looks to Rebound in Truck Series Chase at Charlotte

Layne Riggs has six wins this season but trails Kaden Honeycutt by 37 points in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series standings. Honeycutt has three victories, while other Chase drivers have combined for three wins. Riggs hopes to start a comeback in Friday's race at Charlotte, the first of five remaining events.
Riggs enters the Charlotte weekend second in points despite owning six victories, twice as many as any Chase competitor. Honeycutt's three wins include a recent Kansas triumph, while the rest of the Chase field has three combined. Chandler Smith and Gio Ruggiero remain within 75 points, but the title fight appears centered on Riggs and Honeycutt.
Honeycutt drives Tricon Garage's No. 11, the entry that won last season's title with Corey Heim. Riggs races for Front Row Motorsports and won at Charlotte in May. After opening the Chase with 32nd- and 19th-place finishes, he trails by 37 with five races left: Charlotte, Phoenix, Talladega, Martinsville and Homestead.
The outcome could shape fan interest in the Truck Series' playoff stretch, especially for supporters of Riggs and Honeycutt. A Riggs comeback may boost attention around Front Row Motorsports, while Honeycutt's consistency could strengthen Tricon Garage's profile. Spons
