Pyth Network Broadens Data Services After Nasdaq Distribution Deal

Pyth Network has secured a distribution arrangement with Nasdaq and is expanding its oracle services for exchanges, financial applications, smart contracts, and AI systems. Its product lineup now includes Pyth Pro for tailored institutional data feeds, Pyth Indices for benchmarks covering oil, metals, and equities, and a marketplace for proprietary datasets. The network is moving away from Pythnet as it concentrates on Pro and the marketplace, with Douro Labs handling commercial subscriptions.
Pyth, an oracle network, supplies market data to exchanges, apps, smart contracts, and AI tools. Nasdaq acts as a data distributor under a September 2026 arrangement. New offerings include Pyth Pro for customized institutional feeds, Pyth Indices for oil, metals, and equities benchmarks, and a marketplace for proprietary datasets. The older Pythnet framework is being retired as efforts shift toward Pro and the marketplace.
Douro Labs manages commercial subscriptions, sharing revenue 60% to the DAO and 40% to Douro or distributors. A Listing-as-a-Service option gives the DAO 90% of related revenue. Pyth Entropy charges for random-number requests, while Express Relay was discontinued by mid-2026. Partners include MarketVector, Coinbase, Kraken, Fidelity, and OTC Markets.
Broader access to reliable market data may help traders, developers, and institutions build and use financial applications with more consistent benchmarks. If oracle feeds and indices become more widely distributed, smaller projects could gain tools previously limited to large firms. Yet reliance on a few data providers could concentrate influence, and errors or outages might affect DeFi liquidations and AI-driven finance. Regulators, exchanges, and users may need to monitor data quality and governance.
