Marvel used New York Comic Con 2026 to debut a first look at X-Men '97 Season 3. The footage reportedly places Deadpool and She-Hulk among guests at Rogue and Gambit's wedding, though how much either character contributes remains unknown. Deadpool's history of allying with the X-Men when convenient leaves room for more than a cameo.
The teaser also indicates Mystique now commands the Brotherhood of Mutants following Magneto's Season 2 death by Apocalypse. Earlier SDCC material showed Pyro, Avalanche, Toad, and Blob painting a slogan about mutant freedom before a red, white, and blue-painted Sentinel attacked. A release date is still unannounced.
The teaser could intensify fan speculation and drive interest in Disney+ subscriptions, especially among viewers nostalgic for the 1990s animated series. Surprise cameos may broaden appeal beyond existing X-Men fans, while the wedding setting could spark social-media discussion about character relationships. If Season 3 delivers on this buzz, it may encourage Marvel and other streamers to lean further into crossover events and convention-driven reveals. Conversely, unclear roles for Deadpool and She-Hulk may temper expectations if audiences expect more than brief appearances.
