Star Wars: Ahsoka Comic Will Show Ezra's Escape From Thrawn

Lucasfilm and Marvel Comics announced Star Wars: Ahsoka - Escape From Thrawn, a five-issue miniseries, at New York Comic Con. The story, based on an idea by Dave Filoni, follows Ezra Bridger as he tries to evade Thrawn, Captain Enoch, and the Nightsisters after hiding aboard the Chimera. The first issue is scheduled for January 20, 2027, the same day Ahsoka Season 2 premieres on Disney+.
At New York Comic Con, Lucasfilm and Marvel unveiled a five-part Ahsoka tie-in comic. Dave Filoni supplied the story concept; Rodney Barnes writes it, Andrea Di Vito draws it, and Phil Noto provides covers. The narrative follows Ezra Bridger after he leaves Peridea hidden aboard Thrawn's flagship, the Chimaera.
The miniseries places Ezra against Thrawn, Captain Enoch, and the Nightsisters as he seeks a route back to the New Republic. Its debut issue arrives January 20, 2027, matching the Disney+ return of Ahsoka Season 2.
The announcement may energize Star Wars fans who follow Ahsoka and comics, potentially boosting preorders at comic shops and driving interest in the Disney+ premiere. It could also strengthen Marvel's licensed publishing slate and give readers a bridge between seasons. Because it ties into a streaming debut, the comic may reach viewers who rarely buy single issues, though its actual cultural footprint will depend on reception and availability.
