Future Friends Campus Series Returns to U-M with Dasha to Address Student Loneliness

The Future Friends Campus Series is scheduled for the University of Michigan on Oct. 5-6, with Dasha appearing as a special guest. The two-day program, created by Harris Schwartzberg and Two Bridge, centers on in-person connection and student mental wellness. Organizers chose Ann Arbor because the founders are Michigan graduates and because students asked for the event.
On Oct. 5–6, the University of Michigan will host the Future Friends Campus Series, with Dasha booked as a special guest. Harris Schwartzberg and Two Bridge created the two-day gathering, which emphasizes direct interaction and mental health support for students. Ann Arbor was selected partly because the founders graduated from Michigan and because students requested the program.
The series previously came to Michigan in 2018 with Logic and Glenn Close. This year, student organizations help shape outreach and activities. Programming includes a docuseries premiere, Common Denominator, featuring Noah Kahan, plus a mental health discussion with Jay Williams and Duncan Robinson. Future Friends also works with NAMI to highlight existing resources.
The return of Future Friends may offer students at U-M a peer-led way to discuss loneliness and mental health, potentially reducing stigma and increasing awareness of campus services. Attendees, student organizers, and campus communities could benefit from stronger social ties and resource connections. Because the program relies on student involvement, its reach may depend on engagement and follow-through. It could also encourage similar efforts at other schools, though long-term effects remain uncertain.
