Agenus Wins Armenian Approval for Dual Immunotherapy in MSS Colorectal Cancer

Agenus announced that Armenian health authorities approved Botvymo (botensilimab) and Evamplix (balstilimab) for combined treatment of adults with previously treated microsatellite-stable metastatic colorectal cancer. The approvals are the first for the combination in Armenia.
Agenus Inc., a Lexington, Massachusetts-based immuno-oncology company traded on Nasdaq, said Armenia’s Ministry of Health has cleared two of its therapies for market. The products are Botvymo (botensilimab) and Evamplix (balstilimab).
Each is authorized for use alongside the other in adults with microsatellite-stable metastatic colorectal cancer. The intended population is previously treated patients, and this is Armenia’s first approval for the combination.
For adults in Armenia with previously treated MSS metastatic colorectal cancer, this approval may broaden access to a dual immunotherapy option. Patients, caregivers, and clinicians could see another treatment pathway, though actual benefit will depend on clinical use, availability, and cost. The decision may also signal regulatory interest in combination immuno-oncology approaches, potentially encouraging further study or access discussions in similar settings.
