Rittenhouse Archives confirmed the House of the Dragon Season 2 card set after its 2024 predecessor sold out. A box holds 24 packs, each with five cards, and may include Base Set or Bonus Set cards. The Base Set has 65 cards: three per episode plus 41 character cards. Bonus cards include autographs, foil-stamped cards, inserts, and art cards.
Boxes cost $199.99, and a Series 2 binder is $29.99. Every eight boxes is expected to include either the Emma D'Arcy/Matt Smith dual autograph or the Rhys Ifans/Olivia Cooke dual autograph. Inscription Autograph Cards feature many cast members, including Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, and Paddy Considine.
The release could energize trading-card collectors and House of the Dragon fans, especially those who missed the sold-out 2024 set. Higher-priced boxes and chase autographs may encourage group breaks, resale listings, and careful budgeting among hobbyists. It may also extend the show's cultural presence between seasons, though its broader societal effect is likely limited to entertainment and collectibles communities.
