Troye Sivan Drops “FF” Video With New Album She’s the Best
Troye Sivan has shared a video for “FF,” directed by Gordon von Steiner, alongside his new album She’s the Best. He had teased the clip on X as the gayest music video of his career, and it features him with a man in and around a beach house. Sivan described “FF” as a longing love song about someone he does not yet know.
Sivan teased the clip on X by calling it the most queer video of his career, stressing it was emphatically so. Directed by Gordon von Steiner, the visual for “FF” accompanies She’s the Best and places Sivan with a man in and around a stylish beach house; Mistr products also appear.
The album follows 2023’s Something to Give Each Other. Its earlier singles were the title track and “Party”; Nicole Kidman starred in one video, while Ian McKellen narrated another. Sivan has described “FF” as a love song for a man he has not met, blending desire with loneliness.
The release may resonate with LGBTQ+ listeners who value seeing tender, unabashed same-sex intimacy in pop visuals. It could also reinforce Sivan’s standing as a prominent queer pop artist, drawing attention to his album and collaborators. Broader audiences may encounter the clip through social media discussion of its framing, potentially shaping conversations about representation in music videos without necessarily changing wider attitudes.
