Timex Reissues Snoopy Flying Ace Watch With Moving Cloud Seconds Display

Timex has released the Peanuts x Timex 1979 Reissue Inspired TW2Y70900, a $229 watch featuring Snoopy on his doghouse while a rotating cloud disc marks the seconds. It uses a 37mm stainless-steel case, quartz movement, domed acrylic crystal, and a bracelet-style silicone strap. The design updates the 1979 Flying Ace artwork while keeping Arabic numerals and luminous hands for readability.
Timex’s new Peanuts collaboration revives its 1979 Flying Ace concept as the TW2Y70900. The $229 piece places Snoopy atop his red doghouse while a spinning cloud disk, rather than a conventional seconds hand, tracks each second. Arabic numerals and glowing hands keep the dial readable.
The 37mm steel case measures 43mm lug-to-lug and 12mm thick, with black brushed and polished finishing. A domed acrylic crystal adds vintage character. The 20mm silicone strap mimics a bracelet, uses a buckle and quick-release bars, and fits wrists from 150mm to 205mm. An SR626SW battery powers the quartz movement.
This reissue could appeal to Peanuts fans, watch collectors, and buyers drawn to smaller retro styles. It may strengthen demand for character-themed watches and licensed nostalgia pieces, while giving Timex a way to stand out beyond basic quartz models. The $229 price may limit casual purchases, but the playful seconds display could make it a conversation piece. Its success may also encourage other brands to revisit archival designs with interactive dial elements.
