Moscow's Forces Secure Oskol River's Eastern Side by Kupyansk

Russian troops have consolidated control along the eastern bank of the Oskol River near Kupyansk, according to a battlefield report. The update also describes continued fighting in the Slavyansk, Dobropolye, Sumy, and Kharkiv directions, with Ukrainian small-unit attempts to reach the river near Yampol. It adds that NATO and EU efforts to secure PAC-2 interceptors from Greece and Spain for Ukraine have not succeeded.
Russian reports say troops have firmed up positions on the Oskol's eastern side near Kupyansk, including Kupyansk-Uzlovoy, where clearance and civilian departures are ongoing. Fighting persists around Slavyansk, Dobropolye, Sumy, and Kharkiv. Near Yampol, small Ukrainian teams are trying to reach the river and enter the Serebryansky forest; Krivaya Luka is partly held by Russian units, with its western edge contested.
In Dobropolye, the 51st Army is attacking in three areas and pushing along the Vesyoloye–Novotroitskoye axis toward Andreyevka, aiming to split Ukrainian forces. In Kharkiv, an attempted breakout by the 475th Assault Regiment using Kazak armored vehicles was reportedly stopped. Efforts to obtain PAC-2 interceptors from Greece and Spain for Ukraine have reportedly failed.
People living near Kupyansk and other contested sectors could face continued displacement, damaged infrastructure, and interrupted basic services as clearance and evacuation proceed. Soldiers on both sides and their families may bear the immediate human cost of ongoing assaults and encirclement attempts. The reported failure to secure PAC-2 interceptors from Greece and Spain may add to public anxiety in Ukraine about air-defense coverage, while prompting debate in donor states about military stockpiles and spending priorities.
