Denū Hotel & Spa Debuts in Downtown Phoenix

A partnership including Pacific Hospitality Group, Berger Holding, and JWG Investments has opened Denū Hotel & Spa in downtown Phoenix. The 236-room property is near the Phoenix Convention Center and includes a hammam-inspired spa, a rooftop plunge pool, event space, and two dining venues. It joins the Meritage Collection and is described by Pacific Hospitality Group's president as a response to Phoenix's growth and a restorative option for visitors and locals.
Denū Hotel & Spa has opened in downtown Phoenix as the Meritage Collection’s newest property. The 236-room hotel was developed through a partnership that includes Pacific Hospitality Group, Berger Holding, and JWG Investments, a Sunbelt Holdings affiliate. It sits close to the Phoenix Convention Center and the city’s arts, culture, sports, and entertainment districts.
Guests can use Solstone Holistic Spa, which offers thermal and restorative treatments in a hammam-style setting, along with wellness facilities, a rooftop plunge pool, and event venues. Dining options are Sartén Kitchen & Bar and Nidos Rooftop Bar. Pacific Hospitality Group president Garrett Busch said the project reflects Phoenix’s growth and aims to serve both travelers and locals.
The opening could broaden downtown Phoenix’s hospitality options for convention attendees, leisure travelers, and nearby residents. Its spa, dining, and event spaces may draw local spending and create service jobs, while giving visitors a wellness-focused stay option. It may also add competition among area hotels, potentially pressuring operators to refine amenities and pricing. How much these effects reach beyond the immediate district may depend on convention traffic, tourism demand, and whether locals adopt the spa and restaurants as regular destinations.
