A Wild Last Boss Appeared! Returns to Crunchyroll as a Solo Leveling Alternative
A Wild Last Boss Appeared! has returned to Crunchyroll, offering isekai fans a series with similarities to Solo Leveling. Both center on an ordinary person who gains command over powerful subordinates, with mysteries and large battles, and they share some production staff. The anime, which debuted in 2025, follows the top player of Exgate Online after he is trapped in his avatar's body.
A Wild Last Boss Appeared! is a 2025 isekai anime now available again on Crunchyroll. Its premise follows the top-ranked player of the fictional game Exgate Online after he becomes stuck as his avatar. The series initially had to compete with Overlord's established presence in a crowded isekai field.
It shares notable elements with Solo Leveling: a seemingly ordinary lead who directs mighty underlings, mysteries, and large-scale battles. The two also share some production staff. For viewers waiting on the confirmed date for the new Solo Leveling movie, this return offers a comparable power-fantasy option.
The return may affect anime fans and Crunchyroll subscribers seeking a Solo Leveling-like power fantasy while awaiting the movie. It could strengthen Crunchyroll's isekai catalog and give viewers another entry point into the genre. Shared staff and thematic overlap may encourage comparisons, possibly boosting discussion and discovery for A Wild Last Boss Appeared! among Solo Leveling fans. However, impact may remain within entertainment culture rather than broader society.
