Call of Duty: Mobile Hints at Verdansk Comeback on November 12

Call of Duty: Mobile's official account has teased a Battle Royale update scheduled for November 12, with footage that reports link to Verdansk. Insider Gaming and GamingTrend both identify the teased map as Verdansk. Activision has not yet shared full details, and the tease follows Warzone Mobile's shutdown in April 2026.
The teased Nov. 12 Battle Royale update is separate from Season 9, which arrives Oct. 14 at 5 PM PT. That season includes returning Street Fighter 6-inspired Shoryu and Hadoken modes, plus Honkai: Gleaming Front, Attack of the Undead, Leader’s Kill Confirmed, Fang Wars, the Grav Assault Rifle, and community-selected cosmetics.
Verdansk debuted with Warzone in March 2020 and became tied to locations such as Superstore, Stadium, and Downtown. Activision said over 100 million Warzone players entered Verdansk within its first 18 months. The mobile tease follows Warzone Mobile’s April 17, 2026 shutdown, though Activision hasn’t detailed the November update.
If Verdansk arrives on mobile, current Call of Duty: Mobile players and former Warzone Mobile users could see a familiar map return, potentially renewing interest in mobile battle royale. That may increase playtime, in-game spending, and community discussion, while also raising expectations for how large-scale maps perform on phones. The update’s impact may depend on device requirements, mode design, and whether Activision supports it beyond the initial launch.
