Alanis Morissette’s debut holiday record, Good Weather for Immaculate Conception, is scheduled for Nov. 6 through Epiphany Music/Virgin Music. The preview song places her alongside Brandi Carlile and Steve Martin, the latter on banjo. The project combines well-known seasonal selections with two fresh originals, “Christmas on the Dance Floor” and “To an Empath at Christmas Time.”
Other featured artists include Joy Oladokun, Amythyst Kiah, Martin Short, and Trans Voices, a UK professional trans choir billed as the country’s first.
