Bitcoin and Major Altcoins Test Critical Support After Pullback

Bitcoin and several altcoins are trying to hold important technical support after a selloff. Bitcoin traded near $82,949 after falling from about $87,000 to $80,300, while NEAR remained under $4.79. XRP and Shiba Inu were also testing closely watched moving averages.
Bitcoin slipped from roughly $87,000 to $80,300 before stabilizing near $82,949. Its 20-day average sits around $80,700, with longer averages lower. After two failed pushes toward $87,000, a move above $85,000 could revive that test; below $80,000, attention may shift to $79,800 and $77,000.
NEAR rose from $1.60 in late August to $5.60 in September but failed three times to close above that peak. It fell to $4.44, then rebounded near $4.35, close to its 20-day average. XRP at $1.38 and SHIB near $0.00000536 are also watching key averages.
The price swings could affect retail and institutional crypto holders, traders, and exchanges, shaping short-term portfolio values and risk appetite. If key supports hold, confidence in digital-asset markets may steady; if they break, losses could deepen and cautious investors might delay adoption. Because crypto markets trade continuously, these moves may also influence sentiment beyond dedicated investors, including fintech firms and payment platforms exposed to token prices.
