Brandy to Headline Flytime R&B Show in Lagos
Brandy will headline Flytime's House of R&B concert at Lagos' Eko Convention Centre on Dec. 20 as part of Detty December. The event opens a Flytime series that also includes Coca-Cola Rhythm Unplugged, Flytime Fest, and Flytime Circle. Before the Lagos show, Brandy is set to perform three concerts in South Africa, in Cape Town and Pretoria.
Brandy is scheduled to top Flytime’s House of R&B at Lagos’ Eko Convention Centre on Dec. 20, part of the city’s Detty December slate. That concert begins a Flytime run continuing with Coca-Cola Rhythm Unplugged on Dec. 21, Flytime Fest from Dec. 22–24, and Flytime Circle on Dec. 25.
Before Nigeria, she will play Cape Town on Dec. 14 and Pretoria on Dec. 17 and 18. Her 2026 activity includes collaborations with Ty Dolla $ign, Kehlani, and Josh Levi, a Hollywood Walk of Fame star, and the memoir PHASES.
The Lagos headline slot could draw regional and international visitors during Detty December, benefiting venues, hotels, vendors, and local music workers. It may also strengthen Lagos’s reputation as a stop for major R&B acts, while giving fans in Nigeria and South Africa rare access to a veteran performer. Flytime’s multi-night schedule could spread spending across several events, though the ultimate cultural and economic effects will depend on attendance, travel, and broader demand.
