Straw Hat expands wine lineup with new blush rosé

The Straw Hat has introduced a Blush Rosé to its wine range, aiming for a more premium feel while keeping it affordable. The Mediterranean-style rosé will be sold from 19 October at an RRP of £6, with 10.5% ABV. It is made in Britain from imported Mediterranean grape juice and will be supported by a marketing campaign.
The Straw Hat's new Blush Rosé is scheduled to reach retailers on 19 October, priced at £6 recommended retail and carrying 10.5% alcohol by volume. It uses Mediterranean grape juice shipped to Britain, where the wine is produced, and follows a Provence-inspired pale, approachable style.
This is described as the brand's first new product development in the range for several years. A campaign spanning social media, public relations and trade press will support the rollout, while the company positions the wine for year-round drinking rather than only summer occasions.
The launch may give price-sensitive shoppers another accessible rosé choice, potentially broadening interest in Provence-style wines beyond summer. Retailers could use the £6 bottle to encourage trade-up and repeat purchases, while UK bottling and marketing activity may support some jobs and supplier relationships. The wider social effect is likely modest, but it could influence everyday drinking habits and how affordable premium-style wine is perceived.
