Spider Princess Series 'Migali' Makes World Premiere at MipJunior

The animated children's series 'Migali' had its world premiere at MipJunior in Cannes. It follows six-year-old Migali, a spider princess who wants to become queen. The 52-episode series is produced by Easy Peasy Entertainment and Bardaf! Productions with TF1, RTBF, Ketnet and RTS, and premieres this fall.
Before its Cannes debut, director Cédric Frémeaux reflected on the long process of adapting the character from printed stories to television. The show is structured as 52 episodes, each 11 minutes long, and is aimed at young viewers.
Adelaïde Terme produces through Easy Peasy Entertainment, the production and licensing division of French publisher Auzou. Bardaf! Productions joins as co-producer, while TF1, RTBF, Ketnet and RTS are partners. The world premiere took place Oct. 10 at MipJunior, with the series set to launch this fall.
The premiere may strengthen interest in children’s animation from European co-productions, potentially giving young audiences a new heroine whose royal ambitions are playful rather than conventional. Families, broadcasters, and licensing partners could benefit if the character travels across markets. Its success may also encourage more investment in book-based kids’ series, though actual social impact will depend on reach, local adaptation, and how children and caregivers respond.
