Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen Launches With Norgan, Dungeons, and Creator Pawns

Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen is now available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. The expansion introduces the frozen region of Norgan, the Fallen Dragon storyline, and 12 Lost Rites Dungeon Challenges. It also adds Official Pawns inspired by creators including Myrtle Sarrosa and Alodia Gosiengfiao, along with new customization options.
Capcom's expansion sends players into Norgan, a frozen land, where they join Eir to investigate the undying Fallen Dragon. They can find forgotten relics, gain new weapons and skills, and take on twelve Lost Rites Dungeon Challenges created by the Pathfinder. These trials reward rare gear once used by earlier Arisen, while extra hairstyles and tattoos broaden character creation.
New Official Pawns include Myrtle Gail, a Fighter modeled on Myrtle Sarrosa; BBS, a Mage based on BeastBoyShub; Mr.G, a Thief tied to Gssspotted; and Xyaa, an Archer inspired by Shagufta Iqbal. Returning Pawns Alodia, FrungFringZ, and Rattlexnake gain stronger abilities; Alodia can cast Meteoron. Switch 2 gets a standalone bundle, while other platforms sell the expansion separately.
The release could affect players deciding where to play, especially those drawn to Switch 2 by the franchise's debut there. Featuring regional creators may help their fans discover the game and give those personalities wider gaming visibility. Existing owners may weigh separate DLC against a full bundle, while newcomers could see the expansion as an accessible entry point. Its impact could depend on performance and community response.
