Large UNI Holder Transfers $13.18 Million to Binance Amid Loss Risk
A large Uniswap holder moved 1.79 million UNI tokens worth $13.18 million from Venus Protocol to Binance, according to Lookonchain. The trader bought the tokens at an average price of $9 and would face about $3 million in losses if sold at the reported market price. The transfer does not confirm a sale, while exchange netflow data showed continued UNI withdrawals over the prior three days.
Blockchain tracker Lookonchain identified the movement of 1.79 million UNI from Venus Protocol to Binance, a position valued at $13.18 million. The holder's average entry was $9 roughly a year earlier, implying a potential loss near $3 million if sold at the reported market price. Depositing tokens on an exchange does not by itself prove a sale.
Meanwhile, CryptoQuant data showed UNI exchange netflow negative for three straight days, including -624K over 24 hours, while Spot Taker CVD stayed positive for a week. UNI traded near $7.52, up 1.26%, with volume down 47%, RSI at 46, below the 20-day EMA and testing the 50-day EMA.
A transfer of this size may draw scrutiny from UNI holders and crypto traders, who could react to perceived selling pressure. If the holder sells, short-term price weakness may affect retail traders and other token holders; if not, exchange outflows and positive spot buying could support sentiment. Broader market participants may treat the episode as a reminder of whale-driven volatility and on-chain transparency.
