Miami Activates Kenneth Grant, Makes Several Roster Moves

Miami activated defensive tackle Kenneth Grant from injured reserve ahead of Week 5. The Dolphins waived quarterback Brady Cook and elevated running back Carlos Washington and defensive lineman Rodney McGraw from the practice squad. Grant, a 2025 first-round pick, had been out with a toe injury and is eligible to face Cincinnati.
Miami cleared Kenneth Grant to return from injured reserve after a toe issue cost him the first four games. The 2025 No. 13 overall pick, formerly of Michigan, started five games as a rookie and posted 33 tackles, two tackles for loss, five quarterback hits and two sacks.
The Dolphins also cut Brady Cook and brought up Carlos Washington and Rodney McGraw from the practice squad. Grant joins Zach Sieler, Jordan Phillips and Zeek Biggers in the interior rotation for an 0-4 club under GM Jon-Eric Sullivan and coach Jeff Hafley.
The move could affect Dolphins fans, fantasy managers, and the Bengals' Week 5 preparation, as Grant's return may strengthen Miami's interior defense. For Cook, Washington, and McGraw, the transactions may reshape short-term career opportunities. If Miami's rebuild gains traction, local game-day businesses and the team's broader fan base could see modest engagement benefits, though one roster move is unlikely to create major societal change.
