NASA Brings Space Outreach and Jet Flyover to Jets-Browns Game

NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman is scheduled to fly one of three F-5 jets over MetLife Stadium before the New York Jets face the Cleveland Browns on Oct. 11. Before kickoff, NASA will host an Experience Zone where visitors can learn about the Artemis lunar program, try interactive activities, and see an inflatable SLS rocket. The appearance is part of NASA's Inspiration Tour, which will end with the MAX POWER exposition at Kennedy Space Center in November.
NASA plans a pregame flyover at MetLife Stadium on Oct. 11, with Administrator Jared Isaacman piloting one of three F-5 jets before the New York Jets meet the Cleveland Browns. Earlier, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. EDT, the agency’s Experience Zone at the Jets Tailgate Zone will offer an Artemis-themed dome, hands-on games, and a big inflatable Space Launch System rocket.
The event is part of NASA’s Inspiration Tour, which brings together academic, industry, and public-sector participants to highlight U.S. space leadership. The tour ends with MAX POWER on Nov. 7–8 at Kennedy Space Center, a family-oriented exposition marking America’s 250th anniversary and featuring advanced aircraft, spacecraft, autonomous vehicles, and related technologies.
The flyover and Experience Zone could turn a football crowd into an audience for space technology, potentially sparking curiosity among families and young people about lunar exploration and engineering careers. Local businesses and the NFL may see added attention, while NASA may strengthen public familiarity with Artemis and its broader innovation goals. The effect likely depends on attendance and media reach.
