Arturia Adds On-Keyboard Sound Editing to AstroLab

Arturia released a free AstroLab 2.0 firmware update for the 37, 61, and 88 models. It adds Sound Edit pages that let the four macro knobs adjust parameters such as envelopes, filters, and glide directly from the keyboard. The update does not support Playlists or write changes back to Analog Lab, and some older instrument models are unsupported.
EXPANDED:
Arturia’s no-cost AstroLab 2.0 firmware, issued October 6, brings Sound Edit pages to the 37-, 61-, and 88-key models. By holding the main encoder, or Shift plus encoder, players can use the four macro knobs to adjust supported preset parameters such as envelopes, filters, and glide. The feature works on presets, not Playlists, and edits do not transfer back to Analog Lab. Legacy Wurli V2, SEM V2, and Mini V3 are excluded.
The release also introduces 67 factory presets, including Pure Grand Clean with eight velocity layers, plus MiniFreak V5 compatibility. Arturia reports sampler polyphony, voice management, Analog Lab linking, file transfer, and update-process improvements, along with stuck-note fixes. AstroLab 37 gains Octave LED transposition and revised aftertouch. Installation still needs a computer, roughly 20GB free, and Analog Lab running standalone rather than as a DAW plug-in.
