Vertiv expands Egypt data center presence through IoT Misr partnership
Vertiv has selected IoT Misr as its diamond partner in Egypt to support the country's growing data center market. The partnership will give IoT Misr access to Vertiv's power, cooling, and digital infrastructure solutions, along with training and technical resources. A 2026 Arizton study cited in the article projects Egypt's data center market to grow from $305 million in 2025 to $865 million by 2031, at a compound annual growth rate of 18.97%.
Vertiv, listed on the NYSE as VRT, has named IoT Misr its diamond-status partner in Egypt. The move targets rising demand tied to cloud adoption, artificial intelligence, digital transformation and evolving connectivity. An Arizton study from 2026 cited in the article forecasts Egypt’s data center market rising from $305 million in 2025 to $865 million by 2031, an 18.97% compound annual growth rate.
Through the agreement, IoT Misr can offer Vertiv’s power, cooling and digital infrastructure portfolio, including UPS systems, power distribution, thermal management, modular data center infrastructure, racks, aisle containment, and monitoring tools. It also gains advanced training, technical resources and closer collaboration with Vertiv teams, plus project execution, maintenance, support and lifecycle services.
The partnership may influence Egypt’s digital economy by helping local providers build more reliable data center capacity. Businesses, cloud users and public-facing digital services could see improved continuity and performance, while technicians and engineers may gain skills through training and collaboration. Consumers might benefit indirectly if faster, more resilient services become available. Yet the scale of social impact could depend on energy efficiency, affordability and how widely the resulting infrastructure reaches beyond major commercial hubs.
