XRP Ledger Eyes Late-October Activation for Protocol Fix Package

The XRP Ledger's fixCleanup3_4_0 package could go live on October 23, following a two-week rollout that began October 5. Activation depends on validators staying above 80% support; 26 of 32 validators currently back it, or 81.25%, and any drop to 80% or lower would reject the proposal and restart the 14-day clock. The changes touch single-asset vaults, lending, AMMs, permissioned DEX, trust lines, NFTs, MPTs, escrow, sponsorship, transaction signing, and delegation, while closing a Permission Delegation flaw that could let a delegate mint tokens.
The fixCleanup3_4_0 bundle arrived with xrpld 3.4.0, the reference server software whose rules become permanent once adopted. Voting began October 5, 2026, and activation could occur October 23 if validators keep support above 80%. At present, 26 of 32 validators approve, equal to 81.25%; any fall to 80% or less rejects the package and restarts the 14-day countdown.
The package touches vaults, lending, AMMs, permissioned DEX, trust lines, NFTs, MPTs, escrow, sponsorship, signing, and delegation. It also closes a Permission Delegation issue where a delegate granted PaymentBurn might otherwise create tokens under certain conditions. Other fixes cover deleted-field checks, domain verification, AMMClawback rounding and reserves, NFT fake XRP offers and issuer freezes, escrow reserve releases, and vault transaction rounding.
If the package activates, XRP Ledger users, validators, developers, exchanges, and businesses building on the network could see more predictable vault, lending, AMM, NFT
