Ranking the most active crypto communities in 2026

A Cointribune analysis measured seven crypto projects' community activity on September 28, 2026, using social engagement, Discord and Telegram presence, subreddits, and member actions. XRP led by engagement volume, followed by Chainlink and Cardano, while Kaspa and Qubic stood out among smaller-cap projects. Dogecoin had the largest audience but not the most active community, and the report also outlined criteria and limitations.
EXPANDED:
On Sept 28, 2026, Cointribune compared seven projects using 24-hour social engagement, social dominance, official Discord/Telegram size and live presence, subreddit size, and verifiable 2026 member actions. XRP recorded 13.1 million engagements and 3.2% social dominance. Chainlink had the largest Discord at 111,365 members and 6 million daily engagements. Cardano lacked an official Discord but showed on-chain governance activity, including 135 DReps rejecting a summit budget in May.
Kaspa had 4,043 online of 53,110 Discord members; Qubic’s Discord had 56,740 members and a crowdfunding campaign finished in 48 hours. Dogecoin had 4.4 million X followers and 2.6 million Reddit members, yet only 530 official Discord members. Telcoin had active forum governance. The report warned follower counts measure audience, not activity, and LunarCrush’s Galaxy Score mixes social and market signals.
