XPENG Shows a Six-Seat Electric SUV Aimed at European Families

The XPENG G9L is a large three-row electric SUV that the company developed for Europe in six- and seven-seat layouts. The six-seat version seen in Paris included powered doors, a ceiling-mounted screen, a refrigerator, rear-wheel steering, and fast-charging capability. Its design features slim lighting bars, flush door handles, and a sculpted rear quarter panel.
The G9L is larger than the current G9, measuring 5.12 meters long with a 3.10-meter wheelbase. XPENG created its six-seat format for Europe and also plans a seven-seat version. The Paris car had all-wheel drive, a Waving Green body, and a Tangerine cabin trimmed in Nappa leather.
Inside, an 8.8-inch driver display pairs with an augmented-reality head-up display, while a 17.3-inch central touchscreen handles Google Maps and numerous vehicle settings. Powered doors detect obstacles but still swing outward, and projection lamps can cast graphics on the ground.
Large electric family SUVs like the G9L could influence how European households consider space, charging, and child transport. Families needing three rows may gain more electric options, while urban drivers may weigh the vehicle’s size against parking and street constraints. Features such as powered doors and rear-wheel steering may make big EVs easier to use, though their appeal will depend on price, charging access, and local infrastructure.
