Googlebook compatibility expands to Samsung Galaxy phones

Google has confirmed that Googlebook's Better Together features will reach Galaxy phones running One UI 9 within days, after initially being Pixel-only. Some users report the features already working, particularly on the Galaxy S26 Ultra after an October update, while others such as a Z Flip 8 owner have not seen them. The integration includes Continue On, Cast My Apps, Quick Access, and Notification Sync, and Google is also addressing setup and QR-code bugs.
Google's Android community manager posted on Reddit that Better Together would reach Galaxy devices on One UI 9 within days; the note was dated 10 October. Some Galaxy S26 Ultra owners saw the tools after an October security patch, while a Z Flip 8 user did not. The integration includes Continue On, Cast My Apps, Quick Access, and Notification Sync.
Preparation advice includes Android 17/One UI 9, a private shared Wi-Fi network, Bluetooth on both devices, updated Google Play Services and Cross-device services, enabled Continue activity sub-toggles, and restarts. Google also shortened cross-device setup and fixed a QR-code bug. Yet limited optimized apps may keep the experience fragmented.
The wider Galaxy rollout could make cross-device continuity more familiar to many Android users, especially Samsung owners who previously lacked access. If setup becomes simpler and bugs diminish, people may rely more on moving tasks between phone and Googlebook, potentially changing daily workflows for commuters, students, and remote workers. Yet uneven app optimization may limit benefits, leaving some users frustrated and slowing broader adoption of such ecosystems.
