During New Kids on the Block's Las Vegas concert at Park MGM, Donnie Wahlberg was joined onstage by Donny Osmond. The two performed a duet of the group's 1988 song I Need You, delighting the crowd. NKOTB shared a clip on Instagram, where fans and Wahlberg's wife Jenny McCarthy praised the moment.
The surprise happened at Park MGM during NKOTB's Las Vegas stop. Wahlberg appeared emotional as Osmond walked onstage, and the audience responded enthusiastically. The pair sang "I Need You," the group's 1988 song.
NKOTB later shared a clip on Instagram. Jenny McCarthy called the moment "EPIC," while fans praised Osmond's vocals, called it a full-circle experience for 1980s and 1990s listeners, and noted how special it felt to witness live. Wahlberg added, "Before there was Donnie, there was Donny!"
This cross-generational duet could resonate with longtime NKOTB followers and Osmond fans, especially those who grew up with 1980s pop. The Instagram clip may extend the moment beyond concertgoers, giving older audiences a shared nostalgia touchpoint and introducing younger viewers to both performers. Such viral entertainment moments may briefly boost interest in their catalogs, tour dates, or social media engagement, though any lasting cultural effect would likely remain modest and fan-driven.
