Saudi Finance Minister to Head Delegation at IMF and World Bank Meetings

Saudi Finance Minister Mohammed Aljadaan will lead the Kingdom's delegation to the 2026 IMF and World Bank Group annual meetings in Bangkok from October 12 to 17. The delegation includes the central bank governor and officials from several finance-related agencies. Aljadaan is scheduled to chair the International Monetary and Financial Committee and take part in G20 and development committee sessions.
Saudi Arabia’s finance chief, Mohammed Aljadaan, will lead the Kingdom’s representatives at the 2026 IMF–World Bank Group gatherings in Bangkok, scheduled for October 12–17. Joining him are central bank governor Ayman Alsayari, IMFC deputy chair Ryadh Alkhareif, international relations deputy finance minister Khalid Bawazier, SFD head Sultan Almarshad, NDMC head Hani Almedaini, and specialists from several finance and tax bodies.
Aljadaan is set to preside over the IMFC and join the third G20 finance ministers and central bank governors meeting under the US presidency. He will also attend the WBG development committee, an IMF–GCC seminar, a Middle East/North Africa/Afghanistan/Pakistan session with the IMF managing director, and an Arab governors meeting with the WBG president.
The meetings could shape how international lenders and policymakers respond to economic risks, which may affect borrowing costs, development financing, and job creation in many countries. Saudi participation, including leadership of the IMFC, may give the Kingdom a larger voice in debates over growth, investment, and policy reform. Ordinary households, workers, and businesses could feel indirect effects if those discussions lead to changed financing conditions or new development priorities.
