Google adds refurbished Pixel 9 models starting at $499
Google has added Pixel 9 devices to its Certified Refurbished program, with prices starting at $499. The refurbished listings include an additional perk. This follows the recent release of Pixel 7 models through the same program.
Google’s Certified Refurbished program now includes Pixel 9 devices, with pricing beginning at $499. The certified pre-owned listings also come with an added benefit, though the available summary does not specify what it is. This move follows the recent addition of Pixel 7 models to the same program, indicating Google is widening its refurbished smartphone offerings.
The expansion could make newer Pixel features more accessible to budget-conscious buyers who might otherwise choose cheaper new phones. It may also strengthen the market for certified refurbished gadgets, potentially reducing some electronic waste if devices are reused rather than replaced. Google’s move may affect competitors by normalizing refurbished flagship options, though actual impact depends on availability, condition guarantees, and consumer trust.
