Ethereum's Binance Liquidity Falls to Lowest Level in Seven Months

Ethereum liquidity on Binance has dropped to a seven-month low, with CryptoQuant's Liquidity Shock Z-Score near -1.00. The metric shows liquidity below its historical average, though it does not by itself indicate whether ETH prices will rise or fall. A simultaneous decline in Ethereum held on exchanges suggests some investors may be moving coins to private wallets for longer-term holding.
CryptoQuant's Liquidity Shock Z-Score for Ethereum on Binance has slipped to roughly -1.00, the weakest reading in seven months. The gauge had been positive earlier in the year, dropped sharply in February, recovered somewhat during summer, then turned negative again in October. This places Binance's ETH liquidity beneath its long-run average.
At the same time, Ethereum balances held on exchanges have contracted, which may mean some holders are moving coins into private wallets rather than keeping them ready for trading. Analysts therefore look at exchange liquidity alongside on-chain data and transaction activity, since the Z-Score alone cannot predict whether ETH will rise or fall.
The drop in Binance ETH liquidity could affect traders through wider spreads or sharper price moves, while long-term holders may see reduced exchange supply as a sign of accumulation. Everyday investors might face more volatile pricing and less reliable depth. Market observers may rely more on on-chain data to judge sentiment. These effects remain uncertain, since liquidity alone does not determine price direction.
