OnePlus has launched the OnePlus 16 5G in China as the successor to the OnePlus 15 5G. It comes in four memory configurations, with prices ranging from CNY 5,999 to CNY 84,999, and features a triple rear camera plus a large battery with fast charging. Sales begin October 13, 2026, through OPPO's online store in China, with color options including Martian Masterpiece, Tomorrow's Star, and Dark Forest.
The OnePlus 16 5G follows the OnePlus 15 5G and debuted in China with four memory/storage choices: 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB. Pricing spans CNY 5,999 to CNY 84,999. It goes on sale October 13, 2026, through OPPO’s Chinese online store in Martian Masterpiece, Tomorrow’s Star, and Dark Forest.
Its 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen refreshes at 185Hz and runs ColorOS 17 on Android 17. Power comes from a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip, paired with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. The rear triple camera includes a 200MP main sensor, while a 9,000mAh battery supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
The launch may intensify competition among premium Android makers in China, potentially pushing rivals to match its camera, battery, and charging capabilities. Consumers seeking long battery life or advanced photography could benefit, though the highest-priced variant may remain out of reach for many. Wider availability through OPPO’s online store could also shape how Chinese buyers compare OnePlus with sibling and rival brands, while supply-chain partners may see demand shifts if sales gain momentum.
