Modern Buggy Hopper Mini XL Camper Adds Pull-Out Outdoor TV

Modern Buggy has added the Hopper Mini XL to its Hopper travel trailer line, with a roughly 15-foot, 1,500-pound body that can be towed by many mid-size SUVs and cars. The camper includes a fold-out sofa for two, optional bunk or rooftop sleeping, and a rear outdoor kitchen. A pass-through bay allows the TV to be pulled outside under the awning, paired with exterior speakers.
Modern Buggy's Hopper Mini XL sits on a custom steel frame with a one-piece fiberglass roof backed by AZDEL. It uses a 2,200-pound torsion axle, offers 14 inches of clearance, all-terrain tires, electric brakes, and optional Timbren independent suspension. A 200W solar panel and battery support off-grid use, while a front aluminum box and aluminum luggage rack rated for 600 pounds add gear capacity.
Inside, white walls and wood-look flooring create a cabin feel, though the squaredrop shape limits standing room. The rear galley includes a stainless sink, solid counter, three storage cabinets, dome lights, and an outdoor spray port. The TV can slide out from an exterior bay and pair with outdoor speakers.
The Hopper Mini XL may appeal to campers with smaller tow vehicles, potentially lowering barriers to RV travel for couples or solo travelers. Its solar and outdoor kitchen could encourage longer off-grid stays, while compact size may ease parking and campsite access. Manufacturers might respond with more lightweight, feature-rich micro-trailers. However, lack of pricing and availability means actual accessibility and adoption remain uncertain.
