RoboBusiness panel to address indoor robot navigation in crowded spaces

Executives from Hello Robot and A&K Robotics will speak at RoboBusiness 2026 about navigation challenges for indoor robots in crowded, dynamic spaces. Their session, Shared Spaces: Navigating Challenges for Indoor Robots, is scheduled for Oct. 20 in Santa Clara, Calif. The discussion will cover safety, changing obstacles, lighting, narrow passages, and integration with existing infrastructure.
RoboBusiness 2026 runs Oct. 20–21 in Santa Clara, Calif. The speakers’ session is set for 3:30 p.m. PT on the first day in the Engineering Theater. Aaron Edsinger heads Hello Robot, and Matt Anderson heads A&K Robotics.
Edsinger has started four robotics companies; Google acquired two, Meka Robotics and Redwood Robotics, in 2013. Anderson’s company creates self-driving mobility systems for complicated settings, including airports, and develops Cruz and Kineos AI. He has worked on aerial drones and surgical devices and completed Creative Destruction Lab’s AI and machine-learning program.
If indoor robots become more dependable in crowded, changing places, airports, hospitals, shopping centers, and other public venues could gain new mobility and assistance services. Travelers, patients, employees, and facility managers may see benefits, but they could also face unresolved questions about safety, accessibility, and shared-space rules. The panel’s attention to infrastructure and autonomy suggests broader adoption may hinge on public trust and practical integration as much as technical progress.
