EASA Sets Out Programme for Dublin Safety Conference

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency has published the agenda for its Annual Safety Conference 2026, which will be held in Dublin on 18-19 November. The event, run with the Irish Aviation Authority, has the theme 'Safety Together: Turning Priorities into Action'. Discussions will cover safety leadership, artificial intelligence, air traffic management, severe weather, supply chain resilience and future aviation risks, with speakers including Minister of State Seán Canney and Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary.
EASA has released the schedule for its main annual safety gathering, set for Dublin’s InterContinental in Ballsbridge on 18–19 November. The Irish Aviation Authority is helping stage it, and it sits within Ireland’s EU Council presidency programme. The theme stresses joint efforts to convert priorities into practice.
Irish transport minister Seán Canney will open proceedings, with EASA’s Florian Guillermet and Ryanair’s Michael O’Leary also speaking. IAA chief Declan Fitzpatrick joins a panel on safety challenges in a shifting aviation landscape. Sessions cover AI, air traffic management, severe weather, supply chains, conspicuity and future risks.
The Dublin gathering could shape how European aviation handles emerging risks, affecting passengers, crews, manufacturers, air navigation providers and general aviation or unmanned aircraft users. If discussions translate into clearer oversight, AI integration, weather resilience and supply-chain planning may become more consistent across the sector. For the public, the main potential benefit is continued confidence that safety rules keep pace with technology and operational change, though concrete effects will depend on follow-up by regulators and industry.
