Fujifilm Instax Square 2 Adds Mood Filters and New Body

Fujifilm announced the Instax Square 2, an analog instant camera that uses square film and offers Warm, Cool, and Off mood filters. It has three focusing modes and a redesigned body, with no screen for previewing shots before printing. The square format provides a larger image area than Instax mini, giving more room for subjects and backgrounds.
Fujifilm’s SQUARE 2, revealed on October 13, 2026, is an analog instant model priced at $119.95. It accepts square film, whose 62 × 62 mm image area offers more space than the smaller mini format for people and backgrounds. A lens-ring dial selects close-up (0.3–0.5 m), standard (0.5–3 m), or landscape (3 m and beyond) focus ranges.
A Mood Filter Switch adds Warm, Cool, or Off looks using physical lens filters, so the choice is locked in before the shutter fires. The camera has an optical viewfinder, no preview screen, and a small selfie mirror. Automatic exposure controls shutter speed and flash strength, though the flash always fires.
The SQUARE 2 may appeal to casual photographers, gift-givers, and event-goers who value tangible prints over phone galleries. Its lack of preview could encourage more deliberate shooting, while per-print
