BlackRock Crypto ETF Assets Climb 63% to About $80 Billion in Third Quarter

BlackRock reported digital assets assets under management of roughly $79.6 billion to $80 billion in Q3 2026, up from $48.8 billion in the prior quarter, a 63% increase. Net inflows into its digital asset exchange-traded products reached $7.9 billion, the strongest quarterly figure since Q3 2025, while Bitcoin rose more than 42% during the period. Firm-wide assets under management hit a record $15.5 trillion, but the crypto business remains below its September 2025 peak of about $104 billion.
BlackRock’s third-quarter 2026 digital-asset AUM reached about $79.6 billion to $80 billion, compared with $48.8 billion three months earlier. The quarter’s $7.9 billion of net inflows into its crypto ETPs was its best since Q3 2025, while Bitcoin climbed over 42%, from roughly $58,564 to $84,000. Ethereum also gained.
The firm’s total AUM set a $15.5 trillion record, with $205 billion of quarterly net inflows. Crypto ETPs supplied about $8 billion of $135 billion in ETF flows. Although assets remain below September 2025’s roughly $104 billion peak, Arkham data showed BlackRock-linked holdings up about 62% to $77.1 billion, led by IBIT.
BlackRock’s growing crypto ETF business could make digital assets more accessible to ordinary investors through mainstream brokerage and retirement accounts. That may tie some household portfolios more closely to Bitcoin’s volatility, amplifying gains in rallies and losses in downturns. It could also give large asset managers greater influence over crypto market structure and product trends, while regulators and advisers may face pressure to address disclosure, suitability, and risk education. Effects may vary by investor sophistication and time horizon.
