Prime Video has released a trailer for The Greatest, a scripted series about Muhammad Ali’s life and boxing career. All episodes are set to arrive on Nov. 4. Newcomer Jaalen Best stars as Cassius Clay/Muhammad Ali.
The cast includes Omari Hardwick as Cassius Clay Sr., Dana Gourrier as Odessa “Bird” Clay, and Michael Ealy as Malcolm X. The show is described as following a young Louisville man who becomes a champion and an icon against a changing America.
The series may introduce Ali’s story to younger viewers who know him mainly through highlights or cultural references, while boxing fans and streaming audiences could revisit his legacy through a dramatic lens. Its portrayal of an athlete balancing fame, convictions, and public identity may prompt conversations about sports and society. Because it is a scripted interpretation, its cultural reach could depend on how viewers and critics receive its performances and historical choices.
