Zelda: Ocarina Of Time orchestral album 'Hero Of Time' gets vinyl reissue

iam8bit is reissuing 'Hero Of Time', an orchestral album based on The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time soundtrack, for the series' 40th anniversary. The 22-track record was first released in 2017 and will return on translucent green and violet vinyl with new artwork. Pre-orders are open now, with shipping expected later this month before the Ocarina Of Time remake arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5.
The reissue revives an album first issued in 2017, when iam8bit marked its 20th year. It holds 22 pieces, roughly an hour, performed by the 64-member Slovak National Symphony Orchestra and inspired by Koji Kondo's original score.
This anniversary pressing uses see-through green and violet vinyl. Ryan Brinkerhoff's new packaging includes an ocarina-shaped cutout, a gatefold split between Light and Dark motifs, a gold-stamped Triforce, and an Obi strip. Pre-orders are live, with copies expected to ship this month. Other variants include Navi Blue, Light In The Attic, and Materia Collective editions.
For collectors and longtime Zelda fans, this reissue may make a long-unavailable physical soundtrack easier to own again, while the remake and anniversary events could draw newer players toward game music. Vinyl buyers and concertgoers might see more crossover between interactive entertainment and orchestral performance. The release may also strengthen nostalgia-driven spending around the series, though its broader cultural reach will likely depend on how the remake and tour are received.
