Camtek Sets $1.2 Billion Sales Goal as AI Chip Packaging Orders Grow

Camtek told investors it aims to reach $1.2 billion in annual revenue in roughly three years, compared with about $600 million expected for 2026. The semiconductor equipment maker guided to third-quarter revenue of $160 million to $161 million and fourth-quarter revenue of $180 million, with 2027 revenue above $800 million. Management linked the outlook to strong demand for advanced packaging tools used in AI applications and projected operating margins of 34% to 36% at the $1.2 billion revenue level.
Camtek presented the outlook at an investor and analyst breakfast during SEMICON West. CEO Rafi Amit cited AI-driven computing demand as the reason customer visibility now extends about a year ahead. CFO Moshe Eisenberg said 2026 sales should be near $595 million, while 2027 could exceed $800 million, roughly 35% higher.
Management said orders since January topped $800 million, with about $200 million added since the last update. Roughly four-fifths came from advanced packaging, and just over half from OSAT customers. High-bandwidth memory, 2.5D/3D integration, hybrid bonding, edge AI, and silicon photonics were named as key demand drivers.
Camtek's growth targets may signal continued investment in AI-related chipmaking capacity. That could affect equipment suppliers, chip packagers, and technology workers through expanded hiring and capital spending. Consumers might see indirect effects if AI hardware costs and availability shift, though such outcomes depend on demand, competition, and execution. Investors in semiconductor supply chains may reassess risk and growth expectations.
