Sophie Bille Brahe Taps Juergen Teller for Her Debut High Jewellery Collection

Danish jewellery designer Sophie Bille Brahe worked with photographer Juergen Teller and creative partner Dovile Drizyte to capture her debut high jewellery collection, Tangerine Sky. The collection, created for the 15th anniversary of her Copenhagen-based brand, uses gold and important diamonds and draws on her interest in stars, the sky, and contemporary art. Bille Brahe said Teller's vision was exceptionally clear and uncompromising.
Sophie Bille Brahe's Tangerine Sky marks her first complete high jewellery line and coincides with fifteen years of her Copenhagen-based label. The pieces are made in gold and set with significant diamonds, reflecting her long-standing interest in celestial themes and modern art, including Cy Twombly.
For the campaign, Bille Brahe enlisted photographer Juergen Teller and creative partner Dovile Drizyte. She has described Teller's working method as unusually focused and true to his own vision, with a process that felt both precise and intuitive.
This collaboration may bring wider visibility to independent high jewellery and to Copenhagen's design community. Collectors, luxury consumers, and photography audiences could encounter the collection through Teller's distinctive imagery, potentially shifting expectations around how fine jewellery is presented. It may also encourage brands to treat campaign photography as an artistic partnership rather than conventional product display, possibly deepening public interest in craft and creative storytelling.
