Latin Grammys Week Event to Feature Mon Laferte, Juanes, and More
The Latin Recording Academy is merging its In The Mix event with the Los Producers gala for a Nov. 11 show in Las Vegas during Latin Grammys week. Mon Laferte, Francisca Valenzuela, Juanes, Fonseca, Lila Downs, Kinky, and others are scheduled to perform. The event will honor producer Sebastian Krys and benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
The Latin Recording Academy is combining its In The Mix event, tied to the Circle of Producers and Engineers, with Sebastian Krys’s long-running Los Producers gala. The resulting Nov. 11 Las Vegas showcase falls within official Latin Grammys week programming and is backed by BMI.
Scheduled participants include Mon Laferte, Francisca Valenzuela, Juanes, Fonseca, Yami Safdie, Lila Downs, Arath Herce, and Kinky. Krys will produce and be honored for his Latin music work, which includes collaborations with Shakira, Elvis Costello, Ricky Martin, and La Santa Cecilia. Proceeds support the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
This combined concert may raise the profile of Latin music’s behind-the-scenes professionals while giving Parkinson’s research another visible platform. Audiences, artists, producers, and patient communities could benefit from increased attention and charitable support. For Latin Grammy week, the event may strengthen ties between performance and advocacy, though its direct social effects will likely depend on turnout, donations, and media coverage.
