Tennessee’s William Inge Released From Hospital

William Inge, a former Washington co-defensive coordinator and current Tennessee linebackers coach, has left a Knoxville hospital after nearly a month of treatment for an unspecified serious illness. The 52-year-old said he has begun rehabilitation and is getting stronger. Tennessee coach Josh Heupel called Inge’s recovery a remarkable outcome after a life-threatening ordeal.
Inge, 52, has coached Tennessee’s linebackers for three seasons. Before that, he and Chuck Morrell split Washington’s defensive coordinator duties for two years under Kalen DeBoer. That staff guided the Huskies to 25 wins in 28 games and a spot in the 2024 College Football Playoff national title game against Michigan. Inge stayed in Seattle when Jedd Fisch took over, but Fisch picked Steve Belichick as defensive coordinator.
Inge played at Iowa and appeared in the 1995 Sun Bowl, where the Hawkeyes beat Washington 38-18. After leaving UT Medical Center on Tuesday, he said he had started rehabilitation and was gaining strength daily. Tennessee’s Josh Heupel described the recovery as a miracle after Inge fought for his life.

... No extra. Use plain text. Need maybe "EXPANDED:" and "CONTEXT:" labels. Good. Potential issue: "former Washington colleagues" maybe Inge former UW, but colleagues? Fine. "society" maybe broader. It asks possible impact on society — who affected and how. We mention sports communities. Could be okay. Maybe "could" "may". Good. Need ensure EXPANDED entirely original wording, never copying source phrasing. We used "linebackers" etc factual. "UT Medical Center" proper noun. "defensive coordinator" common. "College Football Playoff national title game" proper. "Sun Bowl" proper. "Hawkeyes beat Washington 38-18" factual. "life-threatening illness" from summary? It's in summary. But original wording? The summary says "life-threatening ordeal." We used "life-threatening illness." That's okay? It is source phrasing? Maybe not exact. Could avoid by "serious condition" but summary says unspecified serious illness. We can say "after a serious health scare." But Heupel called recovery remarkab
