Startup Battlefield finalists revealed for Disrupt 2026

TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 has selected five finalists for its Startup Battlefield competition after 20 startups pitched over two days. The finalists come from categories including space and physical AI, energy and manufacturing, health tech and life sciences, and enterprise and security. The winner will receive $100,000 equity-free and the Startup Battlefield Cup.
Five companies advanced after twenty startups demoed live and faced judges across four tracks: space and physical AI, energy and manufacturing, health tech and life sciences, and enterprise and security. The finalists are Apate.ai, Flox Intelligence, Intero Biosystems, Industrial Next, and Satlyt.
Apate.ai uses AI agents posing as varied potential victims to engage scammers. Flox Intelligence detects wildlife and emits species-specific deterrent sounds. Intero Biosystems grows multi-cell intestinal organoids for drug testing. Industrial Next offers AI robotic stations that can be reconfigured quickly. Satlyt develops software for shared satellite computing. Finals are Thursday at 11:30 a.m. Pacific; the winner receives $100,000 with no equity taken and the Startup Battlefield Cup.
The finalists’ tools could affect several groups: consumers and financial firms may benefit if scam-baiting agents disrupt fraud, while patients could gain from more human-relevant drug testing. Manufacturers might see faster retooling, wildlife managers could reduce animal conflicts, and satellite operators may lower costs through on-orbit computing. As these startups scale, questions around reliability, data handling, and unintended consequences may shape public trust and adoption.
