AnTuTu Report Puts Xiaomi's XRing Chip Third in China's Android Market

AnTuTu's third-quarter 2026 data on Android processor distribution in mainland China shows Qualcomm at 68.9%, MediaTek at 28.9%, and Xiaomi's XRing at 1.2%. Samsung holds 0.5%, while all other brands together account for 0.4%. Xiaomi's third-place position is notable because its XRing chips appear mainly in its own smartphones.
AnTuTu’s third-quarter 2026 snapshot covers Android processor brand share in mainland China. Qualcomm leads at 68.9%, MediaTek follows at 28.9%, and together they account for 97.8% of the reported total. Xiaomi’s XRing family sits third at 1.2%, ahead of Samsung’s 0.5%; every other brand combined equals 0.4%.
XRing’s placement stands out because Xiaomi mainly fits these chips into its own handsets rather than selling them broadly to other phone makers. The earlier XRing O1 appeared in the Xiaomi 15S Pro, reflecting Xiaomi’s push for tighter hardware-software integration. Its limited device range still constrains how widely the platform can spread.
This shift may matter most to Chinese Android buyers and app developers. More in-house Xiaomi chips could give the company room to tune performance, battery use, and imaging on its own devices, potentially offering users more tailored experiences. Yet because XRing remains a small share, most consumers may still choose Qualcomm- or MediaTek-powered phones. Suppliers, developers, and rival handset makers could feel modest competitive pressure if Xiaomi expands its chip lineup, but near-term market effects may stay limited.
