Salvation Brands Adds Esci, an Apres-Ski Fashion Label

Costa Mesa-based Salvation Brands is launching Esci, a mountain lifestyle brand focused on fashionable apres-ski wear. Esci is owned by the Schumacher family and was co-founded by Paul Schumacher Sr. and Paul Schumacher Jr., with Salvation Brands CEO Tyson White leading its market entry. Its portfolio also includes beach accessories, premium bags, ski boot covers and technical menswear labels.
Salvation Brands, based in Costa Mesa, California, was founded five years ago by Tyson White, an industry veteran of roughly three decades. It functions as an incubator for outdoor, action-sports, and fashion labels. Its existing portfolio includes Ruby Mint beach accessories, The Brown Buffalo premium bags, Bootcap ski-boot toe covers, and SPC/LST technical menswear.
Esci is owned by the Schumacher family, whose interests include Canton, Ohio-based custom home builder Schumacher Homes and investment firm Schu Capital. Paul Schumacher Sr. and Jr. co-founded it from their skiing enthusiasm. White serves as CEO. The debut line ranges from $228 to $448 and features insulated jackets, vests, fleece hoodies, leggings, quarter-zip mocknecks, and joggers.
Esci may appeal to affluent skiers who want polished clothing after leaving the slopes, potentially shaping resort-town style and lodge social scenes. It could add competition for luxury apres-ski labels and raise Salvation Brands' profile. Consumers may gain more premium transitional options, while retailers and hospitality businesses in mountain destinations could see modest spending effects. The impact is likely niche, tied to price point and ski culture rather than broad societal change.
