Trailer debuts for Sundance-winning film 'Josephine' starring Gemma Chan and Channing Tatum

A trailer has been released for Josephine, a Sundance-winning movie written and directed by Beth de Araújo. Gemma Chan and Channing Tatum star in the film, which is scheduled for theatrical release on November 20.
Beth de Araújo wrote and directed Josephine, which took both the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award at Sundance’s final Park City festival. Sumerian Pictures has now issued a trailer before a Nov. 20 theatrical launch.
Mason Reeves plays the eight-year-old title character, who observes an assault. Gemma Chan and Channing Tatum also star. A trailer line asks Josephine whether she has told anyone what she witnessed.
The trailer’s arrival may raise awareness for an award-winning drama as it enters theaters. Audiences who follow Sundance discoveries, fans of Chan and Tatum, and viewers drawn to child-centered suspense could be most affected. Its reception may also shape how distributors view future festival acquisitions, though commercial success is never guaranteed.
