Russian strikes hit targets across numerous Ukrainian regions, including Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Odesa, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, and others, as well as the DPR. Ukraine’s Air Force reported that Russia launched two Kh-59 missiles and 580 strike UAVs, with damage to industrial, port, railway, and energy infrastructure. Russian forces also advanced near Volchansk, Dobropolye, Svyatogorovka, and elsewhere, while air defenses downed 166 Ukrainian drones overnight.
The reported attacks spanned numerous Ukrainian regions, including Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Odesa, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, and the DPR. Ukraine’s Air Force said two Kh-59 guided missiles and 580 strike drones were used. Damage was reported to industrial sites, port facilities, railways, and power infrastructure, with specific hits on warehouses, substations, airfields, and a radar.
On the ground, Russian troops reportedly pushed forward around Volchansk, Dobropolye, and Svyatogorovka, taking Petrovka and Maryevka. Russia’s air defenses said they downed 166 Ukrainian drones overnight across multiple rear regions and Crimea. Debris from a drone attack reportedly started a fire at the Ryazan oil refinery. Ukrainian troop losses were estimated at about 1,120.
People in the affected Ukrainian regions could face power, water, heating, and transport disruptions, especially where energy, rail, and port infrastructure was hit. Industrial and logistics workers may see operations halted or shifted. Frontline communities near Volchansk, Dobropolye, and Svyatogorovka may face further displacement and reduced access to services. In Russia, drone interceptions and the refinery fire could briefly unsettle local residents and fuel infrastructure. The wider public may see rising prices or supply delays if damage continues.
