Colorado is now 2-4 after losing 27-24 at home to No. 11 Utah. The Buffaloes trailed by 13 at halftime, then moved ahead 17-13 on Elliott Arnold's 32-yard field goal. Utah answered through Devon Dampier, who threw two touchdown passes in the rally. Dampier totaled 278 passing yards, three scores and two interceptions.
Isaac Wilson passed for 256 yards and two touchdowns for Colorado, but he was picked off twice. One interception led to a Utah field goal; the other came before Braden Pegan caught a six-yard scoring pass. Colorado was flagged 10 times for 93 yards. Next is a trip to No. 18 Oklahoma State on Oct. 24.
The outcome could affect Colorado fans, students, and recruits as they assess the program's direction under Deion Sanders, particularly with bowl eligibility in question. A fifth consecutive defeat may reduce local game-day buzz and national attention, while a late-season turnaround could revive enthusiasm. Utah's win may strengthen its Top 25 profile and visibility.
